Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before you decide to submit your application form.
Organization
The EuroLeague Gen Z Community (also referred to as the “EuroLeague Community Program” or the “Program” indistinctly) is a four-month research program organized, conducted and run by DMENTES SL (the “Organizer”) on behalf of Euroleague Ventures SA (the “Promoter”) to understand the behavior and lifestyle of the EuroLeague Generation Z fans and drive engagement with EuroLeague.
Application and participation in the EuroLeague Community Program is governed by these terms and conditions (the “Terms and Conditions”) and by submitting the application form all individuals agree to be bound by them.
The Promoter reserves the right to suspend or discontinue, temporarily or permanently the EuroLeague Community Program or to amend the Terms and Conditions at any time without prior notice should the circumstances so require. The Participants agree that no liability shall attach to the Organizer or the Promoter as a result thereof and that the exercise of such discretion shall not result in any compensation being payable or paid to any Participant or other person. On this basis, we recommend that the Terms and Conditions are reviewed on a regular basis by the Participants.
Application and confirmation of participation
In order to access the Program, Participants may be required to provide some personal details and/or to have a valid EuroLeagueID and log in with the same. We invite you to take a look at the EuroLeagueID Privacy Policy here
To this end, access to the Program using the EuroLeagueID of a registered user shall be understood to have been effected by the said registered user, who shall be liable in all cases for this access.
Only natural persons over 18 years of age resident in one of the cities listed below and who can guarantee attendance to all activities carried out in connection with the Program are eligible to apply to the Program.

List of Activities of the Program
The following list of activities is for reference purposes only and subject to final definition by the Organizer prior notification to Participant:
· Research exercise about basketball in each own city
· Creative exercises
· Idea generation workshops
· Use of EuroLeagueTV platform and provision of feedback
· Attendance to a EuroLeague game and provision of feedback
· Participation in a WhatsApp group
· Online focus group
· Online survey
Application for participation in the Program is to be made online using the form provided on the website https://fanzlab.euroleague.net/. No purchase, fee or payment of any kind is necessary to submit the application. Submitting an application does not result in legal entitlement to participate in the Program. Only 110 applicants who will be selected among all received applications, will participate in the Program (the “Participants”).
The computer record of the registration application will be considered as being the formal application. Any application not adhering to the above format, incorrect applications or incomplete applications will be deemed invalid.
Application process is open from 27/01/2022 until 10/02/2022 at 23:59 hour CET. Deadline may be extended by Organizer at its sole discretion if the circumstances so require – notification on the site will be provided. Application will be assessed according to internal criteria and participation to those 110 selected applicants will be confirmed by email.
A confirmation email further detailing all aspects of the Program will be sent to those applicants selected to participate. Once confirmation email is sent, selected Participants will have seven (7) days to confirm their participation and provide the required information (if any). Expired those seven (7) days without the selected individual having confirmed his/her participation, the spot will be granted to another person. It is the sole responsibility of the applicant to have a valid e-mail account and to check the email (including the spam folder).
Participants Conduct
During participation in the Program, Participants agree to actively participate in all activities (exercises and interviews) conducted and to act with the utmost professionalism and courtesy in dealings with the Organizer and the other Participants. Failure to participate in one of the activities of the Program may result in the termination of the participation including the declaration of the incentive as null and void and withdraw the right of that Participant to receive it.
Participants must not disclose any confidential information they may have access to during their participation in the Program. If we learn that a Participant has disclosed confidential information, participation of said individual will be terminated and we may also take such other action as we deem appropriate.
Participants are responsible for compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations.
Participants agree to provide accurate information regarding experience, country of residence, age, relationship with EuroLeague, level of written and spoken English language, and to update this information in a timely manner.
When applying to the Program and when participating as a member of the Community Participants will not provide any false or misleading information of any kind.
Participants shall not request any fees and remuneration for their participation and expressly relinquishes any such fees and remuneration.
Participants acknowledge and agree that they will participate in the Program in their individual capacity as an independent party and not as an agent or representative of any entity or individual. The status of Participant does not create an employment, agency, partnership or any other form of association between Participants and the Organizer or the Promoter.
Participants shall not represent themselves as being an employee of Organizer or Promoter. Additionally, Participants agree that they will not make any unauthorized use of the Program and its content, Organizer or Promoter or the Euroleague Basketball name or logo.
To ensure achievement of the Program goals, the Organizer is entitled to exclude Participants from further participation for important reasons (e.g. failure to attend to exercises or interviews, willful disruption of the Program, default to comply with these Terms and Conditions).
Furthermore, Participants agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Promoter and its affiliates, successors and assigns (and its and their officers, directors, employees, sublicensees, customers and agents) from and against any and all claims, losses, liabilities, damages, settlements, expenses and costs (including, without limitation, attorneys' fees and court costs) arising out of or in connection with (a) Participant’s willful misconduct or gross negligence or (b) Participant’s breach or violation of any and all provisions of these Terms and Conditions.
Communication with Participants
The Program mainly refers to the gathering of feedback from Participants relating to EuroLeague, which may consist of performing one or several interviews, surveys and exercises. The Organizer and Participants mostly communicate through WhatsApp, email, one-on-one phone conversations, face-to-face meeting, group conference calls, surveys and online conferences and any other digital channel or platform made available by the Organizer.
Participants will be required, for the duration of the Program, to use the email address and WhatsApp account they used and to apply or provided during the Program so that all documents or other information can be sent and, for that purpose, to access emails regularly or arrange for emails to be forwarded to another email account.
Any and all rights in relation to the EuroLeague Community Program and all the information, documentation and deliverables generated within the same are the sole and exclusive property of the Promoter. No information or data may be reproduced in any format or used in any way without the prior written consent of the Promoter.
Participants assign to Promoter all rights they may have in and to all their responses, feedback, deliverables or content provided in connection with the Program. Promoter shall have the right to launch or use any of the ideas, feedback, proposals, suggestions or projects in general shared by the Participants during the Program at no cost and without the Participants having the right to claim for compensation or payment of any kind. Participants shall at no point of time make any claim in relation to any intellectual property rights derived out of their participation in the Program and/or the interviews, surveys, questionnaires or in general any exercises or activities conducted during the Program.
In exchange for completing the entire Program with an active participation in accordance with the requirements and these Terms and Conditions, Participants will receive an incentive consisting of an EuroLeague TV pass valid during the length of the Program, two tickets for a game of the 2021-22 Turkish Airlines EuroLeague regular season or playoffs played in their city (transportation costs may be included for those participants that do not have a local team participating in the EuroLeague in their city of residence) subject in all cases to access to arena being granted to spectators and compliance with applicable COVID protocols and requirements, official EuroLeague merchandising and access to a raffle among all Participants of two double tickets to the 2022 Turkish Airlines Euroleague Final Four (including round-trip flight tickets from the residence city of the Participant to the city where the Final Four will take place) subject in all cases to access to arena being granted to spectators and compliance with applicable COVID protocols or requirements, or some other incentive which Promoter deems appropriate (total value of the incentive package being more than 250 euros).
Additional details of the incentives and in particular the terms of their attribution and use will be provided by notification to Participants.
No interest will be paid on any incentive. Incentives are not transferable. No cash alternative or substitution of any incentives will be provided. The Promoter at its sole discretion reserves the right to substitute an incentive of greater or equal value in particular if any incentive cannot be awarded as described due to unavailability.
Where Participant breaches any provision of these Terms and Conditions, the Organizer and Promoter may declare any accumulated or offered incentives due to a Participant as null and void and prevent the Participant from receiving it.
Those Participants that win a travel package (including their travel companions) will be required, as a condition of receiving and redeeming an incentive, to sign a liability release and/or any applicable forms and consents requested by authorities or the Promoter. Moreover, winners of a 2022 Final Four travel package (including their travel companions) undertake to strictly comply with all aspects of the applicable laws in the country where the 2022 Final Four takes place (including but not limited to compliance with all laws, entry visa, and COVID-19 related requirements) and to strictly comply and follow the guidelines and/or protocols approved by the Promoter (including but not limited to COVID-19 protocol). It is responsibility of the winner to ensure that the winner and his or her guest hold a valid passport and visa and comply with entry requirements, if necessary. Upon request, Promotor may provide with a certificate with the Final Four invitation under the name of the winner and travel companion.
Neither the Promoter or the Organizer are responsible for applications lost or delayed in the course of transmission. The Promoter and the Organizer shall not be liable for applications or activities delivered which are either not received or wrongfully sent or are "undeliverable" or remain for any reason undelivered.
The Organizer reserves the right to exclude Participants when they do not meet the requirements set forth in these Terms and Conditions for the full duration of the Euroleague Community Program.
Neither the Organizer or the Promoter accept any responsibility for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any Participant. Neither the Organizer or the Promoter are responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software failure of any email or entry to be received on account of technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet, telephone lines or at any web site, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to Participant's, computer or mobile telephone related to or resulting from participation or downloading any materials in the Euroleague Community Program.
The Organizer’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the Euroleague Community Program will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
The Organizer may refuse, withdraw, edit or delete any application that in the judgement of the Organizer violates these Terms and Conditions, or to remove a Participant whose behavior may be offensive, inappropriate, illegal or violates the rights of any person or in any way brings the Euroleague Community Program, the Promoter, the Euroleague Basketball or its participants and/or their brand names into disrepute.
Any attempt to deliberately damage, deteriorate or alter the research and/or the Program or undermine the legitimate operation of the Euroleague Community Program may be in violation of Criminal and Civil laws and should such an attempt be made, Organizer and Promoter reserve the right to seek any and all remedies available from any such individual to the fullest extent of the law, including criminal prosecution.
Participants confirm that their participation in this Program is voluntary.
Participants agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions when submitting the application form for the Euroleague Community Program.
By submitting a registration application, the Participant hereby warrants that all information submitted is true, current and complete and that all feedback that he/she will provide during the course of the Program will be true and complete.
By registering in the Program, Participants expressly accept that the Promoter (and its affiliates including but not limited to Euroleague Properties SA) will have the right to use their names, place of birth and a short personal description, including for promotional and advertising purposes and in all type of platforms (including brochures, social media or website), in connection with the Program. Additionally, and provided that the Participant has granted such consent when filing the application or at any other moment during the Program, the same shall apply to the image of the Participant.
Participants represent and warrant that: (i) they are free to enter into and are fully authorized to enter into the Euroleague Community Program; (ii) the information they have provided, is true; (iii) the posting or use of the information or feedback as permitted under these Terms and Conditions shall not violate the privacy rights, copyrights, contract rights or any other rights of any person.
Participants acknowledge that should any taxes or legal requirements be applicable to the incentives, these shall be their sole responsibility.
These Terms and Conditions have been drafted in English. Participants acknowledge and agree that they have read and understood these Terms and Conditions and that are fully aware of the rights and obligations arising therefrom.
When entering and participating in the Euroleague Community Program, the Participants are bound to accept that they must participate in the Euroleague Community Program in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and any other guidelines or indications relating to the Euroleague Community Program as notified by the Organizer.
By participating in the Euroleague Community Program, Participants agree that no claim relating to losses or injuries or disappointment suffered by entering and participating in the Euroleague Community Program or as a result of participating in any of the activities or accepting any incentive (including special, indirect and consequential losses) shall be asserted against the Organizer or the Promoter, its parent companies, , affiliates, directors, officers, employees or agents from any and all losses, damages, rights, claims and actions of any kind resulting from the participation in the Euroleague Community Program, or the use of any of the incentives.
WHO IS RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR DATA?
All personal data provided, within the framework of participation in the Euroleague Gen Z Community research, will be stored in a data base owned by Euroleague Ventures S.A. (hereinafter referred to as “EV”), with registered address at 60,Grand-Rue, L-1660, Luxembourg, and managed by Euroleague Entertainment & Services, S.L.U. with registered address at Quatre Camins 9, 08022 Barcelona, Spain.

For the purposes of the processing of participants personal data in connection with the Euroleague Community Program, EV is the data controller and DMENTES is the data processor (where data controller and data processor have the meanings as defined in the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/678 (the “GDPR).

WITH WHAT PURPOSE DO WE PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA?
The purpose of the processing will be to:
· Manage your participation in the Euroleague Community Program (to ensure that you meet the criteria to be a Participant, to contact all Participants and to deliver the incentives), and
· Conduct the Euroleague Community Program and develop all exercises and activites, and
· Use Participants image in order to publicly disseminate their condition as participants of the Euroleague Community Program, if they consent to it, and
· Send Participants information on the activities, events, services and products of Euroleague Ventures, if they consent to it.
WHAT TYPE OF DATA DO WE PROCESS?
We process the data necessary to fulfil the aforementioned purposes, which are:
· Identification data: Name, surname and ID card number;
· Contact details: email, telephone and postal address;
· General information of the participant: data from social networks (nickname), gender, age, clothing sizes (to send merchandising), location, favorite EuroLeague or EuroCup basketball team ;
· Image and voice; and
The participant guarantee that the data provided to the Parties for the purpose of the Euroleague Community Program is accurate. Incomplete entries or entries with erroneous or false data will be null and void.
HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR DATA?
We will retain the data for a maximum period of 1 year from the end date of the Program. After the retention period, the data will be completely and securely deleted from our files.
WHAT IS THE LEGAL BASIS FOR THE PROCESSING?
The legal basis for the processing of applicants and participants’ data is as follows:
· With respect to the management of participation in the Euroleague Community Program and subsequent delivery of incentives, the execution of the Euroleague Community Program under the terms and conditions set forth herein; the processing of personal data linked to that purpose is strictly necessary to comply with this legal relationship (Art. 6.1b GDPR).
· Regarding the use of the image of the Participants, their own consent (Art. 6.1a GDPR).
· With regard to the sending of information on the activities, events, services and products of Euroleague Ventures, Participants own consent (Art. 6.1a GDPR). We will handle your personal data for these purposes as long as Participants do not oppose such processing.
· Compliance with the obligations imposed on the Parties by the applicable regulations. The processing of personal data linked to this purpose (with the exception of the image) is strictly necessary in order to comply with the aforementioned legal obligations (Art. 6.1c GDPR).
WHO WILL RECEIVE YOUR DATA?
In general terms, only those third parties to whom EV is legally obliged to (such as banks or Tax Administration bodies) and the companies to which EV has subcontracted services related to the organization, development and execution of the Program or delivery the incentives (DMENTES SL and Euroleague Entertainment and Services SLU) will have access to them.
DMENTES S.L, a private company with registered office address at Av. Meridiana 28, 6-2, 08018 Barcelona Spain, (hereinafter referred to as “DMENTES”) and Euroleague Entertainment and Services SLU with address at Quatre Camins 9-13, 08022 Barcelona, Spain will process certain personal data of the Participants for the sole purpose of evaluating, coordinating and managing their participation in the Program and delivery of the incentives if so applicable.
Parties follow strict criteria of selection of services providers in order to comply with their obligations in terms of data protection and undertake to sign with them the corresponding data processing contracts to meet the requirements of the GDPR and ensure the protection of the rights of the participants.
WHAT ARE PARTICIPANTS RIGHTS REGARDING THE PROCESSING OF YOUR DATA?
You can exercise, at any time, under the terms established by law, your rights of access, rectification or deletion of data, as well as request restrictions on the processing of your personal data, oppose its processing or request the portability of your data, by sending a postal communication to the address indicated above or by writing an e-mail to [email protected]
In any case, you can file a complaint before the competent data protection authority.
By participating you agree that all issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Terms and Conditions, or the rights and obligations of Participants and Organizer and Promoter, shall be governed by the laws of Luxembourg without giving effect to any principles of conflicts of law of any jurisdiction.
By participating, you also agree that (1) any and all disputes and causes of action arising out of or connected with the Euroleague Community Program shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action and (2) any and all claims, judgements and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred (if any), but in no event attorneys’ fees and under no circumstances will any participant be permitted to obtain awards for and hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than actual and effectively incurred out-of-pocket expenses.
If any part of the Terms and Conditions is determined to be invalid or unenforceable pursuant to applicable law, then the invalid or unenforceable provision will be deemed to be superseded by the valid, enforceable provision that most closely matches the intent of the original provision and the remainder of the Terms and Conditions shall continue in effect.
